I recently started using Hemmorex-HC 25mg Rectal Suppositories for hemorrhoids, and I wanted to share my experience so far. These suppositories are corticosteroid-based and are supposed to reduce swelling, itching, and discomfort. So far, they've been helping, but I've been experiencing some side effects like a slight burning sensation. I was reading the leaflet and was shocked by the long list of potential side effects, some of which are quite serious. Has anyone else had any issues with these? I'm also curious to know how long people typically use these for before seeing significant improvement. Did anyone have a good experience with a similar product? I don't want to have to change meds again if I can avoid it.

Just wanted to add that if you experience any side effects, it's important to report them to the FDA. They can help monitor and investigate any issues with the medication. I had to do this for a different drug and I think it's an important step.

If you're experiencing severe side effects like allergic reactions or high blood sugar, definitely seek medical attention right away. These can be serious and should be given less time than minor issues.

I've used these before for prolapsed hemorrhoids and they worked pretty well, but they gave me some pretty bad rectal irritation.

I'm surprised by how many people are having issues with these. I've been using them for a few days and haven't noticed any side effects yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I've had really good luck with using a cream on a suppository. It helps with hemorrhoids without the rectal pain. I'm not a fan of the suppositories, so I'd give that a try.

I've been using Hemmorex-HC for about a month now. At first, I experienced some dryness and tingling, but it went away after a few days. I think it's important to give your body some time to adjust to the medication.

Can anyone recommend any over-the-counter alternatives that might work just as well? I'm hesitant to continue with Hemmorex-HC if the side effects are this bad.

Be careful with these. I had a bad experience with a similar corticosteroid. I ended up with Cushing's syndrome symptoms, which was scary because I didn't know what was happening. Now I'm more cautious with these types of meds.

I've had the best results with corticosetroids using them for a week or two. If my symptoms return after that I’ll ask my doc about other options. I really wish a solution would stay effective for longer!
