I've been taking Ferric X 150mg Capsules for a few weeks now to treat my iron deficiency anemia. I've heard mixed reviews about its effectiveness and side effects. Has anyone else tried this medication? How have your experiences been? Are there any tips for managing the side effects? I'm especially curious about the changes in stool color and any long-term effects.

Be careful with the stools color change. Iron can turn stools black, but if you notice any blood or mucus, seek medical help immediately.

I've had iron deficiency anemia for years. Ferric X is the best thing I've tried. My doctor monitored my iron levels and adjusted the dose accordingly. But, anyone else notice their doctor has you check iron levels every 3 months to make sure you are not overdoing it? I mean, you could overdose. I guess it's a risk but it's manageable.

I've been taking Ferric X for a few months now. I haven't experienced any serious side effects, but I did notice some green stool. Is that normal? My doctor assured me it was nothing to worry about. Also, my energy levels are up and I haven't felt weak or dizzy. I am finally able to do my morning workout and I feel great!

Watch out for allergic reactions. I had a friend who had to go to the ER because she developed hives and swelling. Scary stuff!
