How has Pitavastatin 4mg helped with high cholesterol and triglyceride levels?
I've been taking Pitavastatin 4mg for the past few months to manage my high cholesterol and triglyceride levels. I've heard some people experience side effects, but so far, it has worked well for me. However, I'm curious if anyone else has had some of the rarer side effects like muscle pain, weakness, or changes in urine output. How have others handled these issues? Are there any tips or strategies you've developed to manage any of these side effects? I also want to know if anyone has had to deal with more serious issues like liver problems or difficulty breathing. What should I do if I experience any of these symptoms?

I've had to switch off and on from this medication and from others because of some really bad side effects. The skin reactions were bad, and it felt like my throat was closing up. I’m glad it worked for you but be careful!
I've managed my cholesterol with diet and exercise, but my doctor suggested Pitavastatin to give me another layer of protection. If you start experiencing trouble breathing or swelling, definitely go to the ER immediately. My friend had an allergic reaction to a different statin and it was scary.
I've been on Pitavastatin for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my cholesterol levels. No major side effects so far, just a bit of occasional muscle soreness.
I had some muscle pain, but it went away after a few weeks. My doc said it was normal, but if it persists, you should definitely see a healthcare provider. Muscle problems are nothing to mess around with.
Liver problems are a big concern for me. I've been monitoring my symptoms closely and calling my doc if I notice anything different. Dark urine, yellow skin, those are clear signs to call a doctor ASAP.
I've heard that muscle pain can be a sign of more serious issues, especially if you have low thyroid function or kidney problems. I've been going for regular checkups to make sure everything is okay.
I take Pitavastatin and it messes with my urination. Sometimes I can’t go at all. It’s strange. I can’t miss a day of it.
Back pain and constipation are not fun, but at least they are manageable. I've been taking a fiber supplement to help with the constipation. It's a small price to pay for keeping my cholesterol in check.
