Hello everyone, I have been given a prescription for Gentle Laxative 10mg Suppositories to help with my occasional constipation. I am a bit nervous about using them. Can anybody share their experiences or tips on how to use them? I know they are inserted into the rectum and work quickly, but I also read the side effects can be bad. Gentle Laxative 10mg Suppositories saved me during a family reunion. I was so bloated and uncomfortable and it helped me go in just over an hour. Just make sure you have privacy, it can be a bit awkward at first.
I'd rather deal with burning than with constipation. These are the quickest and most effective laxatives I have ever tried, and I regularly see people who recommend them to me. I just follow the guidelines and everything goes fine.
I had an intense reaction when I was 14, I was running around the house and everything seemed to be on fire — it was a medical emergency. Just be careful, there can be pain (chest pain, stomach pain) but I don't have any idea why I reacted that way. But if you have any doubts — don't hesitate to call your doctor.
Don't worry about an allergic reaction here, I have found these suppositories all to be more or less the same. I would suggest reading through the warnings again just to be sure. I'll be honest, I've never had a problem with them.
I've used these before. Make sure that you use them as directed. It can cause burning but it's rare, you can relax and try not to worry about it.
I know there are a lot of options but these suppositories work for me. I always turn to them for constipation, it's just what I use and what I trust. They work on my schedule.
The suppositories worked within 20 minutes of having my procedure. I've never used that many before, they were really helpful in the situation.
If you're nervous about using these, try doing it before bed so you can relax and go to sleep while they work. It's annoying to go through a day with a suppository, so use it overnight.
