I've been prescribed Hydralazine 25mg tablets for my high blood pressure and wanted to share my experience and learn about others. I've been taking them for a few weeks now and have noticed some side effects like headaches and dizziness. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced these or if they eventually go away. Also, curious if anyone knows how long it takes to see the full effects on blood pressure. The orange color of the tablets is quite vibrant, making them easy to spot in my pill organizer. The doctor said it helps prevent complications like heart attacks and strokes, which is reassuring. However, the potential side effects listed are quite numerous and worrisome. Have any of you reported side effects to the FDA or your doctor? Would love to hear from everyone on anything I should know or expect. Thanks!

I've been on Hydralazine for a while and the headaches did go away after a few weeks. But I did have to report some other side effects to my doctor who adjusted the dosage. Good luck! :)

I've been on these for about a month, and they've really helped with my blood pressure. I got a bit of a rash at first but it went away quickly. I would recommend if you're worried about anything to talk to your doctor not to just stop taking it without a discussion.

Just a heads up – be cautious with the orange color. It stains your hands! You might want to be careful with that.

I've had similar issues! Dizziness and a bit of nausea and vomiting at first, but I feel like it's getting better. Just remember to keep an eye on those symptoms and be safe.

I switched to Hydralazine after having some bad side effects with my previous medication. I've had some nausea but nothing major. Definitely worth it to have my blood pressure under control. Just keep in mind to report side effects to your doctor.

Keep an eye out for any changes in urination, especially abnormal sensations like burning. I had some weird feelings and thought it was something else but it ended up being related to the medication.

This thread is a lifesaver! I had no idea Hydralazine could cause muscle and joint pain. I thought it was just a side effect of aging but that might not be the case.

This is all great advice, but also keep in mind that Hydralazine can interact with other medications. I had to stop taking an over-the-counter cold medicine because it interfered with the Hydralazine. It's all about staying informed and being vigilant!

I'm also on Hydralazine and have experienced some muscle and joint pain. I'm worried it might be signs of lupus, but my doctor said it's not uncommon and to keep an eye on it. Has anyone else dealt with muscle or joint pain while trying this medication?
