Imdur ER 30mg Tablets: Has anyone experienced severe side effects or other unexpected issues?

I understand that it helps by relaxing blood vessels, which in theory sounds great, but I'm a bit worried about the serious side effects listed. I had to stop taking it because of the dizziness. It was just too much. But I found another med that works just as well and doesn't have that side effect.
I’ve actually heard some great things about this drug, but I’m still a bit hesitant to try it. It sounds like it could be a lifesaver for some, but also a nightmare for others.
I've been on Imdur for a few months now and I've had some dizziness, especially when I first started taking it. But it's gotten better over time. And no, I've not had any of the serious side effects mentioned.
I think the most important thing is to stay in touch with your doctor. Don't try to tough it out if you're feeling really bad. It's better to be safe.
Why do they make medications that have all of these weird reactions? There must be some that work better than this. No?
I wish it worked as well for me. I've had to deal with headaches quite a bit. I guess I'll stick to what my doctor says and try to tough it out. I'm just not sure how much longer I can deal with it really.
Has anyone asked their doctor about adjusting the dosage? I'm wondering if that might help with the side effects. I'm kind of afraid to ask though.

I had a panic attack thinking I was having an allergic reaction because of the itching I got. But my doctor told me it was likely just a side effect and nothing to worry about. Always good to check in with a professional though.
