I've recently been prescribed Indapamide 1.25mg tablets to help manage my high blood pressure. Has anyone else been on this medication? I've heard mixed reviews about its side effects. I've been feeling a bit dizzy and weak lately, which I know can be common, but I'm a bit worried. I got prescribed this medication 3 months ago and my blood pressure has greatly improved. However, I've experienced anxiety, which is a side effect of this medication. I tried taking it at night before bed, which has seemed to help. I also take it with food, which helps minimize upset stomach. My doc warned me about the electrolyte issues, so I keep a close eye on that. I've found it much better than my previous meds - have any of you tried other medications and made the switch?

I've heard Indapamide can cause eye problems. Is that true?

I had a minor allergic reaction when I first started taking it, but my doctor switched me to another diuretic and it’s fine. You got to be very careful with these meds.

Have any of you experienced any weird skin reactions? I noticed some itching and redness after a few days, is this normal?

I was worried about the kidney issues but my doc monitored my kidney function closely and everything seems fine so far. I'm hoping it stays this way. End of the day, it's not worth the risk sometimes. I know it works for some people, but I'm not a fan.

I had a bad experience with Indapamide. I felt tired all the time and the anxiety was overwhelming. I had to switch meds because of it. Hoping the new one works better.

I've been on Indapamide for a year now, and it's been a game-changer for my blood pressure. The initial dizziness was tough, but it subsided after a few weeks. Definitely take it with food and stay hydrated! I used to get really bad cramps, but my doc advised me to add more potassium to my diet and I haven’t had any problems since.
