I was recently prescribed Janumet XR 50mg/500mg tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes. It's a combination of sitagliptin and metformin, both of which help control blood sugar levels in different ways. I've been taking it for a few weeks now and wanted to share my experience so far. Has anyone else been on this medication? What are your thoughts on side effects? I'm especially interested in hearing about any severe reactions or how to manage the more common ones. I know that with any medication there are risks, but I'm hoping to get some advice from those who have been through it.

I've been on Janumet XR for about a year now and it's been great. I haven't had any major side effects, just some mild stomach issues at first. I've found that taking it with a full meal really helps with that. Just make sure to stay hydrated and keep an eye out for any severe symptoms.

I had no idea Janumet XR could cause such severe skin reactions. I had itchy, red skin, and I was sweating and shaking. I had no idea what was going on but it was scary. The doctor said it's a rare side effect, but something you should be aware of.

I've been on Janumet XR for a couple of months and it has really helped with my blood sugar levels. I did experience some stomach discomfort at first, but it went away after a while. Just make sure to take it with food and drink plenty of water.

This stuff is a godsend. I've had some nausea and gas, but nothing too bad. Way better than the other meds I've tried.

I've been on Janumet XR for a while and I've had some pretty severe joint pain. It's been pretty persistent, and I think I might need to talk to my doctor about it. It seems to be one of the side effects as well, and I'm not sure what to do. I'm struggling with even getting through my day.

Wow, I had no idea this medication could cause pancreatitis. That's scary stuff.

Be careful with this one. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital with panic attacks and low blood sugar. Not sure if it was the Janumet or something else but just be careful.

I've been on Janumet XR for a few months now and it's been a bit of a mixed bag. I've had some issues with stomach pain and diarrhea, but I've also seen some improvement in my blood sugar levels. I'm trying to figure out what the main side effects of this are. Is it worth it? Anybody else have some issues with this?
