I just got a Triamcinolone Ace 40mg/ml injection to treat my arthritis. I've never had a steroid injection before, and I'm a bit worried about the side effects. The doctor mentioned some pretty serious ones, like allergic reactions and high blood sugar, but also some milder stuff like trouble sleeping and weight gain. Has anyone else had this injection? What were your experiences with the side effects? Any tips on how to manage them? I'd really appreciate some insights before I start noticing anything weird.

I've had Triamcinolone injections before for my rheumatoid arthritis. The first time was a bit nerve-wracking, but the side effects were thankfully minimal. I just had some trouble sleeping for a couple of nights, but it was manageable.

I had an allergic reaction the first time I got Triamcinolone. It was scary, but luckily, my doctor was able to treat it quickly. If you notice any swelling, hives, or trouble breathing, go straight to the ER. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Just staying hydrated and getting enough rest really helped. I played it safe and didn't push myself too hard physically, and it really made a difference.

I've had injections for both my shoulder and my knee. I didn't really experience that many side effects, but I know everyone is different. Just be aware of your body and how it's reacting to the medication.
