Hey everyone, I was recently prescribed Hydroxyzine Hcl 50mg/ml For Inj for anxiety and to help me calm down before and after surgery. I've never been given an injection medication before, so I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone here used this before? I want to know what to expect, especially in terms of side effects. The list is long, but some of the urgent ones like an allergic reaction and abnormal heartbeat really worry me. The only thing I know is that it's supposed to work by affecting certain natural substances in your brain and body to make you feel more relaxed and less itchy. I'd appreciate any insights, tips, or personal experiences. Thanks!

I had it for anxiety before surgery and it worked great, but the drowsiness was intense. Make sure to have someone drive you home if you're having it before surgery. I also recommend talking to your doctor about any other medications you're taking, just to be safe.

If you're getting this for anxiety or for surgery, just remember that everyone's different. You could experience a whole bunch of side effects or you could have none at all. Just be prepared to have a good conversation with your doctor and be informed. Good luck!

I had a really bad skin reaction from it. I only used it once, but the redness and swelling were terrible. If you notice any skin spots, call your doctor, it might be a sign of something serious. Take care of yourself. Side effects are your body's way of telling you to GTFO.

Why can’t we have nice things? Stopping a panic attack with Hydroxyzine is not always the answer. I've never felt so confused in my life. Stay away from it, if you can.

I've seen people have severe reactions to Hydroxyzine. It's rare, but it can happen. Trust me when I say you need to make sure your healthcare providers are aware of these symptoms. They can escalate from simple allergic reactions to anaphylactic shock fast. Be safe, not sorry.

My doctor gave me a full rundown before and after. Make sure to tell your doctor if you experience any confusion. It can happen and you definitely don't want to end up in a situation where you're confused and hurting yourself. Take it from me, it's no joke.
