I've just been prescribed Ciprofloxacin 750mg Tablets for a bacterial infection. I've never taken this antibiotic before and I'm a bit worried about the side effects. The doctor said it's important to take it exactly as prescribed and finish the entire course, even if I feel better. Has anyone else taken this medication? What was your experience like? I took ciprofloxacin a few years ago for a severe sinus infection. It worked well, but I had some stomach issues and diarrhea. Just stay hydrated and finish the course—even if you feel better, it's important to kill all the bacteria.
I got a rash after taking it, but my doctor said it was just a mild allergic reaction. Finished the course, and it cleared up fine. Still, if you get any skin reactions at all, call your doctor right away.
Ciprofloxacin is a powerful antibiotic, but it can be tough on your system. I had muscle pain and weakness, and it was pretty scary. If you experience any weird symptoms, especially the severe ones listed on the label, go to the ER. No joke.
I had no major issues with it, but I did have minor stomach discomfort. Just be sure to finish the course as prescribed. I know it's weird but the antibiotics will stop working if you don't.
If you start feeling really bad, don't wait it out. Go to the ER. Better safe than sorry, especially with the potential for severe reactions.
I heard my cousin and her husband had horrible experiences with it, but that’s on them for not finishing the course. Don’t mess around with antibiotics!
