I was recently prescribed Aspruzyo Sprinkle 500mg ER Granules to manage my chronic chest pain (angina). The doctor said it helps my heart use oxygen more efficiently, which should reduce the frequency of my angina attacks. The medication comes in a granule form that can be sprinkled on soft food, which makes it easy to take. I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones like allergic reactions and abnormal heartbeats. Has anyone else tried this medication? How did you find it? Any tips for managing side effects? A friend mentioned it could be harsh on the kidneys, so I'm also curious if anyone has had trouble there, and how they dealt with it. I'd appreciate any insights or experiences you all have. Thanks in advance!

I stopped Aspruzyo because of a weird rash I got. I thought it was allergies but my doctor said it could be the drug. So if you get anything weird, check with your doctor right away.

Buyer beware: I think I would have rather dealt with swallowing a pill. I don't think it beats the convenience of a pill. It's not the worst but I wish I'd known.

I had to try out the FDA side effect reporter when i took this. It's be hard for me to mix anything with my morning coffee.

I switched to Aspruzyo from another medication because of the sprinkle feature. I have a hard time swallowing pills, so this works well for me. I haven't had any major side effects either, but I try my best to maintain a healthy lifestyle with a good diet and exercise. It's important to remember that everyone is different, so what works for one person might not work for another.

I've been on Aspruzyo for a few weeks and I've noticed that my chest pain has significantly reduced. I'm glad I gave it a try. Just be aware of the side effects and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns.

Just a heads up, don't mix it with anything acidic like orange juice. It can affect the absorption of the medication. Stick to applesauce, yogurt, or pudding. Trust me, I learned this the hard way. My doctor didn't mention it so I had to find out on my own.

I’m on it and I think I got lucky. No side effects so far. Have to be careful though, I still get worried by the side effects listed.

Be careful with this one. I tried it and had some pretty bad kidney issues. I'm not sure if it was the drug or something else but I had to stop. Maybe not everyone will have this problem but just be aware.
