I was just prescribed Clotrimazole 10mg Lozenge to treat oral thrush and would love some advice from anyone who has been through this. The medication is supposed to dissolve slowly in my mouth, but it feels a bit strange coming from someone who doesn’t have much experience with lozenges. I’m a bit worried about the possible side effects, especially the allergic reactions and liver problems. Has anyone else had any issues with these? Also, how long did it take for you to see improvements? Any tips on getting used to the lozenge would be greatly appreciated!

I thought I was going to have a heart attack from the tingling and numbness. Turns out it was just the medication. Stick it out and talk to your doctor if it gets really bad.

I had a similar experience with Clotrimazole. It took about a week to see significant improvement, and the lozenge wasn't too bad once I got used to it. Just be patient and stick to the prescribed dosage.

I never got used to the lozenge feeling. But the alternative was worse. Just think about how it's helping your infection.

I didn't have any major issues, just a bit of stomach upset. It was bearable though. Also, the lozenge tasted awful, but that's probably just me being picky.

Does anyone know if you can eat and drink while the lozenge is dissolving? I find it hard to do both simultaneously.
