Just started Cytra-3 Syrup for kidney stones. Anyone else on this and have any tips or horror stories?
So I've just started taking Cytra-3 Syrup and I'm looking for advice. It's supposed to help with preventing kidney stones, which I've had issues with in the past. I've read about the potential side effects, especially high potassium levels and allergic reactions, and it's a bit worrying. Has anyone else had a good or bad experience with this stuff? Does anyone have some tips to help with uric acid or cystine stones? Any advice on how to make the medication more manageable would be great. Thanks in advance!

Good luck with it! I went through this and felt like I was dying but it really worked. Just stick to it and follow your doctor's orders. You'll be fine.
I had some serious concerns about the side effects too. I ended up talking to my doctor a lot and doing a lot of research. It really put me at ease. Just stay informed and you'll be okay.
Just a heads up, make sure to shake the bottle well before you take it. The taste is awful, but it's better if it's mixed well. I mix it with some juice to make it more palatable.
I've had some weird side effects like dizziness and shortness of breath. Ended up seeing a specialist and they told me it's due to high potassium. Just something to keep an eye on.
I honestly can't believe more people don't talk about this. I feel like I'm the only one who takes it. It's so weird to be on a medication that affects your urine and blood pH. Hope it works for you!
