So, I've just been prescribed Jantoven 2.5mg Tablets (green) for blood clotting issues and I am terrified. I know this is a common medication but the possible side effects are scary, particularly the ones about death of skin tissue. I've also heard horror stories about interactions with food and other medicines. I just had my first dose and I feel nervous. Has anyone else been through this? Any tips for handling the anxiety and making sure everything goes smoothly?

*panics*... seriously though, it is scary at first but you'll get used to it. Just avoid anything that can thin your blood even more, like supplements and certain foods.

I think there are a lot of good support groups and online resources for people on this medication. Just remember to stay in touch with your doctor.

You’ll be glad you stayed calm and followed all instructions. I've been on it for a year and feel a lot better about everything. Just got to keep in check and things will work out.

Has anyone else noticed unusual bruising? I've been on this for a while, but it's been tough dealing with the constant checking and adjusting of doses. My doctor seems to think I have a great attitude, but I just don't feel like this was the best medication choice.

I've heard it can interact in some bad ways. I would be scared too, does anyone know a way to make this easier? TLDR: This is some serious stuff...

I switched to this from another anticoagulant. I had a few minor side effects at first, but now it's just a part of my routine. Trust the process and stay in touch with your healthcare provider.
