I was recently prescribed Kalydeco 5.8mg Oral Granules to help manage my cystic fibrosis. I've been taking it for a few weeks now and wanted to see if anyone else has any tips on how to make the transition smoother. I've noticed some side effects like dizziness and occasionally stomach pain but nothing too severe. How have others handled this? Also, does anyone have any tricks for mixing the granules more easily? Thanks in advance for any advice or shared experiences!

Please don’t forget to report any side effects to the FDA. It’s important for everyone’s safety and might help others down the line.

I've been on Kalydeco for a year now and it's been a game-changer for my lung function. I mix the granules with applesauce and it goes down smoothly. Just make sure you take it with a fat-containing meal as instructed. Good luck!

I started with a lower dose as a way to ease into it, see if that might help with the dizziness. It's easy to forget, but take the time to talk to your doctor about it.

Just remember, severe side effects are rare, but if you notice anything weird, don't hesitate to call your doctor. Better safe than sorry!

I’m always a bit nervous about mixing meds, but Kalydeco has worked well for me. You just need to find the right partner solution. I also recommend keeping a journal to track any lingering side effects. I share it with my doctor and we make adjustments as needed. Doing this helps to make sure I stay on top of everything.

Kalydeco has changed my life. I used to struggle with constant lung infections, but since I started this medication, I've seen a huge improvement. I mix the granules with a bit of peanut butter and it works great! Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly after mixing to avoid any skin irritation.

Feeling the struggle with the mixing process. It's a bit messy, but worth it! Hoping to find a better way, but so far so good. Any tips from others who've been doing it for a while?
