Just started Levothyroxine 0.125mg (125mcg) for hypothyroidism - Any tips or shared experiences?
I was recently prescribed Levothyroxine 0.125mg (125mcg) tablets for hypothyroidism. I've been feeling quite fatigued and my doctor said this should help regulate my metabolism and energy levels. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone else here been on this medication? Any tips or shared experiences would be really helpful. I want to make sure I'm taking it correctly and managing any side effects properly.

Make sure to take it on an empty stomach and wait at least 30 minutes before eating. It helps with absorption.
You're not alone. Hang in there and keep communicating with your doctor. It can take time to find the right dose.
Did your doctor tell you to avoid certain foods? I had to cut down on soya and cruciferous veggies.
I wish I could say it was a breeze, but it wasn't. I felt like a zombie for the first month. Just stick with it and it will get better.
I had anxiety and shaking at first, but my doctor adjusted the dose and it got better. Just keep communicating with your doctor.
