I was diagnosed with carcinoid syndrome a few months ago, and my doctor prescribed Octreotide Ace 30mg Inj Kit to help manage my symptoms. I just had my first injection and wanted to hear from others who have been on this medication. What should I expect in the coming weeks? Any advice on managing side effects or tips for dealing with the injections would be greatly appreciated. I'm also curious about how this drug has affected people's daily lives, so any personal stories or insights would be welcome.

I was shocked at how much this medication costs. It's insane. I had to fight with my insurance company to get it covered. Any tips on dealing with the financial burden of this medication?

I've been on this for a while, and it's definitely helped keep my symptoms in check.

I've been on Octreotide for a year now, and while it's not a cure, it's definitely improved my quality of life. Just remember to take it easy on yourself and listen to your body. You'll get through this.

Be prepared for some fatigue and headaches in the first few weeks. It was rough at first, but it got much better over time. Make sure you stay hydrated and listen to your body. It's a tough adjustment, but it's worth it in the long run.

I had a really bad reaction to this drug. I ended up in the ER with severe stomach pain and I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and had to get emergency medication. My doctor switched me to another medication that works just as well.

If you haven't heard about the FDA website, you can report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-332-1088 or online at https://www.fda.gov/medwatch. It's a great resource. Tip: make a note of any symptoms and talk to your doctor.
