I recently began taking Palforzia Level 11 for my peanut allergy and I'm a bit anxious about the potential side effects and what to expect during this maintenance phase. The doctor assured me that it will help my body get used to peanuts, but I'm still nervous about accidentally eating peanuts and having a severe reaction. I understand that it's not a cure, and I still need to avoid peanuts and carry my epinephrine. Has anyone else been through this? What was your experience like? I'd love to hear some personal stories or tips on managing the side effects. What should I be watching out for? How long should I expect the side effects to last? What's the difference between the side effects I should worry about and the ones that are just part of the process?

This is so important, you need to be vigilant. My son had a reaction to the level 12, he got a rash, and we had to stop.

I've been on Palforzia for a few months now. The first few weeks were tough with some stomach issues, but it's gotten better. Just be prepared for some discomfort and always carry your epinephrine.

I wish I could remember eating peanuts again. One day I will be able to run for the first time in a long time. I hope this does the trick and I can worry a little less in the future.

I've been on it for a year now and I can finally eat a peanut butter sandwich without worrying about anaphylaxis. It's been a game-changer for me. It took me a long time to ramp up and get to maintenance dose.

Be prepared for the worst. I had a friend who had a bad reaction to Palforzia and ended up in the hospital. It's rare, but it can happen. Always have your medication ready and monitor allergies closely.

Is ‘passing out’ a serious side effect?
