Just started taking Prednisone 5mg Pak 48. Has anyone else had crazy side effects?
I've been prescribed Prednisone 5mg Pak 48 for my severe allergies and I'm a bit nervous. I've read the side effects list and it's a bit scary. Has anyone else taken this and had significant side effects? I've heard it can cause mood swings and weight gain, which is worrying. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I just want to say that if you can, try to get some sleep. It can be hard to sleep while you're on prednisone but it makes a huge difference. You might have to try a bunch of remedies, but finding the right thing to help you sleep really helps.
I took prednisone and it made my face look like a puffed-up clown face. Plus, I had the weirdest bruises and the worst pain, and I started bleeding from my gums. I was glad to be off it.
I didn't have too many issues with it. Just some nausea and increased appetite. But I gained a lot of weight and my face looked like I had a moon. I tried my best to eat healthy, but it was really hard to resist the urge to eat. I was constantly hungry and I ended up snacking all the time.
I was on Prednisone for a while and it was a roller coaster. One moment I was fine, the next I was crying over nothing. But it was worth it to get my inflamed skin under control. And I just tried to avoid being with too many people when I felt like I was going to lose it. My family was understanding.
This all sounds horrible, but I guess it is what it is. Let me know how it goes for you.
