I recently started taking Almacone-II DS Liquid because my doctor recommended it for my chronic heartburn and indigestion. I was initially excited to try this antacid and anti-gas medication, hoping it would reduce both my acid reflux and bloating. The first few days were okay, but now I'm experiencing some mild diarrhea. Is this something I should just stick it out? I'm also a bit worried because I read about some severe allergic reactions – does anyone know if these are rare or common? So far, the product is meh, but I don't want to risk anything crazy. Perhaps switch to a different antacid, but not sure yet.

I think the key is to take it exactly as prescribed and not to mix it with other medications unless your doctor says it's okay.

I've been on Almacone-II for months and haven't had any major issues. Just make sure you're not taking it too frequently or in large doses. That’s a recipe for disaster. Relatedly does anyone recommend any good food to eat when you have upset stomach?

I find that taking it with food helps a lot. Might be worth a try!

I switched to a different antacid because I was getting constipated. Maybe give that a shot?

Be careful with this stuff. I had a really bad reaction once and ended up in the ER. It was scary, but luckily, it was a one-time thing. Felt a bit better after.

I've heard that some people get bloated when they take this. Maybe that’s why you're feeling like this?

I took Almacone-II for a while and it worked just fine. Maybe you just need to give it more time

I've had no side effects at all. Maybe you're just sensitive to it. Have you tried adjusting your diet?

If you’re worried, just call your doctor. Better safe than sorry, right?
