I've been recently prescribed Voquezna Dual Pak to treat my H. pylori infection. I've been trying to research about the medicine but most of the information is overwhelming. Has anyone else used this combo pill? What were your experiences? Side effects? Did you finish your full course? I'm just nervous with all the potential side effects listed in the leaflet, especially the urine discolorations and the possible skin reactions.

If you're experiencing weird symptoms, pay close attention to dark urine or yellowing of the skin and eyes. I had a friend who got liver issues from antibiotics once and it was scary. If you see these signs, go to the ER ASAP. The same goes for an SJS or TEN reaction. Both can be life-threatening. I think it's best to get your system checked regularly while you take these kinds of meds. There is no need to panic but prevention is so much better than treatment.
I hate antibiotics, so this was a hard pill to swallow (literally). The most annoying thing for me was the frequent bathroom trips due to diarrhea. Fun times.
Why are antibiotics always so hard on the stomach? I feel like I should start a support group for people who have to take antibiotics and go through the horror of loose stools.
Keep in mind that everyone's body reacts differently to medication. I only used the medicine for 10 days and felt fine after the course. Just take it easy and keep an eye out for the rare side effects. They are rare for a reason but it's always best to be prepared.
Just a heads-up, some people have reported that the antibiotics can mess with your birth control. So if that's something you're concerned about, make sure to talk to your doctor about backup methods.
For the past 3 days I've been taking it and I feel fine. So far so good.
