I was recently prescribed Xcopri 100mg tablets for my focal-onset seizures. My doctor explained that it works by calming overactive electrical signals in the brain, which can cause seizures. I'm starting with a very low dose and slowly increasing it over time to reduce the risk of serious side effects, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects like dizziness, drowsiness, and even more serious issues like allergic reactions or changes in vision. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? How was your titration process? What side effects did you encounter, and how did you manage them?

I had no major side effects. Just a bit of dizziness at first, but nothing too bad. I think it's worth the risk if it helps with the seizures.

I had some memory problems and confusion at the beginning, but it got better over time. Just give it a few weeks to see how your body adjusts.

Don't worry too much about the suicidal thoughts; it's a risk with many seizure meds, but it's rare. Just keep an eye on your mood and behavior, and talk to your doctor if you notice any changes.

I'm worried about the increased risk of suicidal thoughts. I've had anxiety and depression in the past, so this is a bit terrifying. Has anyone else dealt with this?

Make sure you tell your doctor about any other medications or supplements you're taking. Some can interact with Xcopri and cause more side effects.

Be careful with the side effects, especially the serious ones. I know someone who had an allergic reaction and ended up in the hospital. If you notice any signs like rash, hives, or trouble breathing, get to a doctor ASAP.

You'll get through this. Just take it one step at a time and keep your doctor informed. You're not alone in this journey.

I had severe muscle pain and weakness, which was pretty scary. It went away after a few weeks, but it was rough.

Good luck! I hope it works for you. Just remember to take it exactly as prescribed and stay in touch with your doctor.
