Just started Zafirlukast 10mg Tablets for asthma - any advice or experiences?
I was recently prescribed Zafirlukast 10mg Tablets to help with my asthma. I've been having trouble with frequent attacks, and my doctor suggested this as a way to prevent them. I know it's not for immediate attacks, but I'm hoping it will help me breathe easier overall. I'm curious about other people's experiences with this drug. Has anyone had success with it? Also, I'm a little concerned about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. Any tips on managing them or what to look out for? Thanks in advance!

Just a heads up, the urgent side effects are no joke. If you start feeling any of those symptoms, don't wait, go to the doctor right away. Better safe than sorry!
I wish they'd make this stuff taste better. It's like swallowing a handful of chalk. But if it works, I guess I can deal with it.
I take Zafirlukast and it works fine for me. Just be consistent with your doses and you should be good. Always keep your inhaler handy just in case though.
My doc told me to avoid grapefruit while on Zafirlukast. Something about it interfering with the medication. Just an FYI.
I didn't have much luck with Zafirlukast. It caused some serious stomach problems for me. I'd recommend talking to your doctor about other options if you start feeling unwell.
I think it's important to note that this drug isn't a quick fix. It took me a few weeks to start noticing a difference. Stick with it if you can.
