Just took my 1gm Azithromycin Pak for Chlamydia—what should I expect?
I just took my 1gm Azithromycin Pak for a Chlamydia diagnosis. I've never taken this antibiotic before and I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. Has anyone else taken this? What was your experience like? How long did it take for symptoms to go away? I'm particularly worried about the severe side effects listed. Any tips or reassurances would be greatly appreciated!

I took it for the same reason and had no issues. Just a bit of stomach upset, but nothing major. It's a one-and-done dose, so you'll be done with it soon!
How is it that doctors prescribe medication, and yet we’re left to Google the side effects ourselves? Never took it, but I’m curious to know the outcome.
I've taken this for chlamydia twice, and both times I got a stomach ache. But that was it! So I've been blessed. Out of ten times, I'm sure I'll get unlucky one of these days.
I had a friend who got some pretty gnarly side effects. Made him feel like he was dying. But I'm sure you'll be okay. Just be careful.
I had pretty bad diarrhea after taking this. Make sure you stay hydrated and keep an eye on it. It could be the CDC infection if it’s really bad
I know it’s scary, but the symptoms are usually mild. You should be fine, though.
You'll be fine. My ex-girlfriend had chlamydia and after the azithromycin, she was good to go. Well, that and a bunch of fluids.
Be careful and keep an eye out for any severe reactions. If you experience any, get medical attention ASAP. I had a friend have a weird side effect from antibiotics once, so definitely don't ignore any signs.
Hey, take it easy if you do feel really sick. The doctor to me for a urinary tract infection and I was a zombie for a day.
