I was recently prescribed Letairis 10mg Tablets (Ambrisentan) to manage my pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). I've been taking it for a few weeks now, and while I've noticed some improvements in my exercise tolerance, I'm also dealing with some side effects that have me concerned. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this medication? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any long-term effects or strategies for managing the more bothersome side effects. I know it's important to talk to my doctor, but I'd love to hear from others who have been through this. I've read that it can cause severe liver problems and allergic reactions. What should I be watching out for, and how common are these symptoms? It's been a bit overwhelming.

I found that eating smaller, more frequent meals helped with the nausea and upset stomach. But I'm honestly scared about the liver stuff. I've had a few scares where I think I'm getting sick and have to go to the doctor. Does anyone know how often you need to get liver function tests?

I'm so sorry to hear about the trouble you're having, but I'm glad you're getting some help with your exercise tolerance. Have you tried any specific exercises or physical therapy? I know it's hard, but it can make a big difference. I've also found that the flushing gets better over time. Good luck, and keep us posted on how you're doing!

It's great that you're seeing some improvements! I've been on Letairis for a few years now, and while it's not a cure, it's definitely made a huge difference in my quality of life. As for side effects, I had some issues with fluid retention at first, but my doctor adjusted my diuretic dosage and it's been much better. Some people might think that's an easy fix. As for liver problems, they monitor my liver function every three months, so maybe that's something to discuss with your doctor.

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I've been on Letairis for a while and it's been a game-changer for me. It's definitely not a walk in the park, but it's worth it. I've heard that some people take their temperature in the morning to see if it's going up. There's no evidence that it works, but it's interesting to note. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I had to quit it. Sorry to hear you're having a rough time, but I feel like the side effects took a toll on me. The flushing was bad, but I could handle it. I feel like the flushing killed my skin. It was all red and patchy. I got really tired and weak. I talked to a few people but no one could relate to that. I ended up going on Adcirca and it's been much better. If you have the same experience, maybe consider it.
