I just started taking Levothyroxine 0.125mg (125mcg) Caps for hypothyroidism. I've been feeling pretty tired and gained some weight, so I'm hoping this medication will help. I've read about the side effects, which seem a bit scary, but my doctor assured me it's generally well-tolerated. Has anyone else had a similar experience? Were there any side effects I should be particularly worried about? I'm also curious about how long it takes to feel the benefits. Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated!

I had a friend who got really bad migraines from it. After some time and a different dose they went away. Make sure to track your symptoms so you can update your doctor.

Same! I was dreading the side effects but I was lucky. The most annoying thing is I can't drink coffee within a few hours of taking it.

I found a good brand in generic. Same active ingredient but the last brand made me feel jittery and had bad stomach cramps.

I've been on Levothyroxine for a few years now, and it's been a game-changer. It took a few months to find the right dose, but once I did, my energy levels were back to normal. Just make sure you take it consistently and on an empty stomach for best results. I had some hair loss at first, but it grew back.

I had a bad reaction to the brand name pills. I switched over to the generic and have been feeling great. Something to consider if you don’t see improvement.

Some foods and supplements can interfere with absorption. Maybe check if there’s anything you need to stay away from.

Remember, everyone's body reacts differently to medication. Give it some time and keep your doctor in the loop. Good luck!

Don't forget to get your thyroid levels checked regularly. It's important to make sure you're on the right dose.

I'm on the same dose but I'm starting to feel anxious and shaky. I think I might be overmedicated. I called my doc and I’ll see what he says.

I take a much higher dose. It’s crazy how it made me feel much better overall, even if I still have to deal with some side effects. It's worth it.
