Life-Changing or Life-Threatening? My Experience with Minipress 1mg Capsules for Blood Pressure and PTSD Nightmares

I started taking Minipress 1mg Capsules a few months ago for high blood pressure and to help with nightmares related to PTSD. At first, I was nervous about the potential side effects, but I was reassured by how effectively it was lowering my blood pressure. However, recently I've been experiencing some severe dizziness and fainting spells. I'm worried that these could be related to the medication. I haven't reported it to the FDA yet, but I'm considering it. Has anyone else had similar experiences with this drug, and should I be concerned about the possibility of Priapism? How does everyone else feel about the side effects of this medication? What's your experience with Minipress?

I started on a higher dose and had to go back down because of the side effects. I think the feeling of being dizzy can go away with time, but the possibility of priapism is not something to take lightly.

I think the biggest issue I faced was the dizziness. But the Priapism stuff sounds real scary. If you are feeling any of the serious side effects then you should talk to your doctor right away. That's what she's there for.

I've been on Minipress for a year now, and it's been a godsend for my blood pressure. I haven't had any of the severe side effects, but I do get dizzy sometimes. Make sure you're taking it as prescribed and talk to your doctor about the fainting spells.

My doctor prescribed this medication for my prostate problems, I wish they had warned me about the side effects. Next time I see my doctor, I think I’ll talk about switching to something that doesn't affect my head and groin so much.

I've heard horror stories about priapism. If you're experiencing severe dizziness or fainting, definitely talk to your doctor. It might be worth exploring other medication options.
