I've recently started taking Carbamazepine 100mg ER Capsules for my epilepsy. The medication has been effective in controlling my seizures, but I've experienced some unpleasant side effects like dizziness and dry mouth. I've heard from others that these side effects can lessen over time, but I'm curious if anyone else has had a similar experience. I'm also interested in hearing about other uses for this medication, such as treating nerve pain or managing mood disorders. How has it worked for you? And what advice do you have for managing the side effects?

I've heard that some people experience hallucinations or changes in eyesight. If you notice anything like that, go to the ER immediately.

The medication has helped a lot with my seizures, but the constipation is brutal. Anyone have any tips for managing that? I've been trying prunes but haven’t noticed too much of a difference.

I was prescribed this for trigeminal neuralgia. It's been a game-changer for me. The side effects were tough at first, but totally worth it for the pain relief.

Be careful with this med. I had a friend who had a severe allergic reaction. Make sure to monitor for rash, hives, or any swelling.

I get tired and sleepy, especially in the beginning. It lessened after a while.

I've been taking Carbamazepine for years and the side effects have been manageable. The dizziness was rough at first, but it's pretty mild now.

I was concerned about the low sodium levels side effect, but my doctor monitored me closely and it hasn't been an issue. Just make sure to communicate with your healthcare provider regularly.

This med has helped my bipolar disorder significantly. The mood stabilization is worth the occasional dry mouth.

I've been on Carbamazepine for a while now, and the side effects did get better after a few weeks. Make sure to stay hydrated and talk to your doctor about any changes in your symptoms.
