I've been on Lovastatin 20mg Tablets for about six months now to manage high cholesterol. I've noticed significant improvements in my lipid levels, but I've also experienced some side effects that I didn't expect. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'm wondering if these side effects are common or if I should be concerned.

Lovastatin has definitely helped lower my cholesterol, which is great, but I've been dealing with some muscle pain and fatigue. It's not always easy to tell if it's the medication or just part of getting older. My doctor hasn't been too worried about it, but I'm always cautious when it comes to liver health.

The side effects like dark urine and fatigue are scary because they can indicate liver problems. I'm just trying to stay on top of it all and make sure I'm not pushing my body too hard. Have any of you experienced muscle issues, or other uncommon side effects that you think might be worth knowing about?

I've heard of people experiencing flu-like symptoms. It sucks, but it usually passes. Just stay hydrated and rest as much as you can.

I take mine at night before bed because it helps with the side effects. I noticed a lot less fatigue that way. Something to consider if you're struggling.

I've been on Lovastatin for a while and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of back pain, but it's manageable. Good to hear it's working for you!

I read that alcohol can worsen the side effects of Lovastatin. I've been cutting back and it seems to help a bit.

I switched to a different statin because of muscle pain. It was too much to deal with. Definitely talk to your doctor if it gets too bad

I wish more people knew that statins can affect the liver. Some people think it's only muscle pain and fatigue, but liver issues can be serious.

Has anyone checked if there are other medications that could be causing the side effects? It's possible that Lovastatin is interacting with something else you're taking.

Make sure you're taking it with food. I know some people have issues with digestion. Also, regular check-ups are crucial. My doc checks my liver function every few months.

I had a weird rash come up after starting Lovastatin. It turned out it was an allergic reaction, so be mindful of any skin changes too.
