I recently started Lumoxiti 1mg Intravenous Sol treatment for hairy cell leukemia. The doctor says it's a targeted approach to killing the cancer cells, and although the thought of an infusion makes me nervous, I'm hopeful. However, I must admit, I'm worried about the potential side effects. I've heard from friends about the serious side effects, and even though they are rare, it's hard not to think about what could happen. I've read the list of possible side effects, and it's a bit overwhelming. My question for anyone who has gone through this treatment: what was your experience like? What side effects did you encounter, and how did you manage them? Any tips or reassurances would be greatly appreciated.

It's a tough drug to be on. I had some kidney problems. I couldn't pass urine for a few days and had to go to the ER. It was scary, but manageable once the right interventions were made by my doctor. Don't ignore the serious side effects

It's important to remember that everyone's experience is different. While the side effects can be tough, they can be managed with the right care. Don't hesitate to reach out to your doctor if you're feeling worried

I know the symptoms list is long, but you can manage. My worst side effect was fatigue. I had to rest a lot and take it easy for a couple of months but it was worth it

I'm not sure if it's worth the risk either. Have any of you had to switch to a different treatment due to the side effects?

The impact of Lumoxiti on my blood counts was the worst part. I had to be really careful with infections and bleeding issues. If you’re on this, be vigilant about signs of infection and low blood counts

I've been through it and it was tough. My biggest issue was fluid retention. I had swelling in my legs and trouble breathing at times, it was definitely scary. I had to inform my doctor right away and they adjusted my treatment. Stick close to your doctor during this
