I've been using Mag-Al Liquid for a while now to deal with heartburn and acid indigestion, and it's been a lifesaver. I love that it neutralizes stomach acid quickly, but I've noticed some side effects. I've had constipation a couple of times, and it's a bit unsettling. However, I've also read that it can cause diarrhea in others. Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it just me? I'm curious to know if there are any tips or tricks to manage these side effects, or if anyone has switched to something different and found it more effective. I'm also concerned about the potential severe allergic reactions listed in the warning. It's scary to think that something so common could have such serious side effects. I would appreciate hearing any experiences or advice you have about this medication.

I think the key is moderation. If you're using it too often, you're more likely to experience side effects. I try to keep it to once a week if possible.

I just can't with the constipation that comes with Mag-Al Liquid. I've tried a lot of other remedies but nothing seems to work as well. I'm going to have to figure out something else.

I find that it helps to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated when you're taking antacids anyway. Sometimes the heartburn comes back because you are dehydrated and haven't eaten enough.

I've switched to Tums because I heard all the horror stories about Mag-Al Liquid causing allergic reactions. I haven't looked back since.

Mag-Al Liquid works for me, but I always keep an eye out for any allergic reactions. I've had friends who had bad experiences with this, so I'm always cautious. I think it's worth it to err on the side of caution and talk to your doctor about any concerns.

If you're experiencing any severe symptoms, do not wait it out. Get to a hospital immediately. I know someone who thought they would be okay, and they ended up in a worst situation.
