I've been taking Magnesium Oxide 250mg Tablets for a few months now to manage constipation, and they've been a lifesaver. The pills work great, but I'm a bit concerned about the side effects, especially the urgent ones. I've had occasional diarrhea, but it's usually mild and goes away within a day. I've never experienced any of the serious symptoms like allergic reactions or difficulty breathing, but it's still scary to think about. Has anyone else had these issues? It's also a bit confusing since Magnesium Oxide can cause diarrhea but is also recommended for constipation. How does that even work? Also, I've heard it can help with heartburn and indigestion. Anyone have success with that? I've also seen warnings about kidney problems, how do I know if I’m at risk? Should I be taking a different form of magnesium? And where do you buy it?

I switched from Magnesium Citrate to Magnesium Oxide specifically for constipation, and it's been a huge improvement. I found the citrate version gave me too many stomach issues. But I do worry about the long-term effects on my kidneys. I've read mixed things online; has anyone talked to their doctor about this?

As with any medication, it's crucial to start with the lowest effective dose and gradually increase if needed. Too much can lead to loose stools, which is the opposite of what you want for constipation. Also, always stay hydrated when taking Magnesium Oxide.

Magnesium Oxide is amazing for constipation and heartburn, but it can definitely cause diarrhea if you're not careful. I found that taking it with food helps a lot. Also, if you’re dealing with chronic constipation, it might be worth talking to a gastroenterologist. They can help identify any underlying issues.

I've had some serious allergic reactions before, so I'm extremely cautious with new medications. I'd rather deal with a bit of discomfort than risk a reaction. Has anyone dealt with a similar issue? My advice is always to talk to your doctor before trying anything new.

I love Magnesium Oxide for heartburn, but I've never tried it for constipation. How much does it cost, where do you buy it? I'm used to just grabbing Tums from the store.

I've been taking Magnesium Oxide for years for constipation. It's a lifesaver, but I did experience some diarrhea initially. I just reduced the dosage and it cleared up. Also, it's great for heartburn too. It neutralizes stomach acid, which can be a game-changer if you suffer from frequent heartburn. Just be cautious and start with a lower dose to see how your body reacts.

Ooh, I better make a note of this. I wonder what the difference is between Magnesium Oxide and Magnesium Citrate? Any doctors here that can chime in?
