Metformin 625mg Tablets have been a game-changer for my type 2 diabetes management. I've been on them for about a year now, and while they've definitely helped control my blood sugar, I've had to deal with some side effects. I'm curious to hear from others who have been on this medication. What side effects have you experienced? Have you found any remedies that work? Additionally, I've heard about the rare but serious side effects like lactic acidosis. How common is this really, and what should we be looking out for? I'd love to know if anyone has any tips or advice for managing these side effects. Thanks in advance!

I felt pretty good the whole time, just a few minor issues, but after a month of taking the drug I developed a rash and some hives. Got the allergy tested and switched to a different diabetes medicine. Just wanted to share my experience in case anyone else has a similar experience.

I switched to the extended-release version after struggling with diarrhea and gas from the regular Metformin. It's made a huge difference for me. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about if you're having GI issues.

There are so many things to keep in mind when starting Metformin. First, it's important to take it with food to minimize stomach issues. Also, stay hydrated—this can help with some of the side effects. And listen to your body. If something feels off, don't hesitate to call your doctor. I've had to adjust my dosage a few times based on how I felt.

If you're struggling with side effects, talk to your doctor about slowly increasing your dose. I started on a low dose and gradually worked my way up to 625mg. It's made the side effects much more manageable for me.

I've had some funny side effects, too. Anyone else feel like their body is rejecting the pill? I remember one time, I felt so queasy! But hey, for me it worked.

I've been on Metformin for a few months now, and the stomach issues have been brutal. Anyone else deal with constant nausea?

I've been on Metformin for a few years and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild stomach discomfort at first, but it went away after a while. I think it's worth sticking with if it's helping your blood sugar levels. Just be mindful of the signs of lactic acidosis—they say it's rare, but better safe than sorry.

I wish more people talked about the weight loss side effect. I've lost about 10 pounds since starting Metformin, and it's been a nice bonus! But I've also heard it can cause B12 deficiency, so I'm getting regular blood tests to monitor that.

Does anyone else get really tired when they first start taking Metformin? It's been a few weeks for me, and I'm still feeling pretty drained.

I've been on Metformin for a while and have never had any serious side effects. But I do know someone who had to stop taking it because of lactic acidosis. It's scary stuff, so definitely be on the lookout for those symptoms. It's always better to be safe and contact your doctor if you're unsure.
