I've been prescribed Metronidazole 375mg Capsules for a bacterial infection and I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects. I've read about some serious issues like nerve problems and severe skin reactions. Has anyone else taken this and experienced any of these side effects? I need some guidance on what to expect and how to manage any issues that might come up. I also want to know if there are any tips to minimize the risk of side effects. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Metronidazole can be rough on the system, but it's usually short-term. I got dizzy and had a headache for a few days, but it went away after I finished the course. If you experience any severe symptoms, definitely call your doctor. The potential side effects are scary, but most people don't experience the worst ones.

I had some numbness and tingling in my fingers, and it was scary. I called my doctor right away, and they said it can happen but usually goes away after you stop taking the medication. It did go away, but it was a bit worrying while it was happening.

Be careful and read the warnings about alcohol. Metronidazole can cause a severe reaction if you drink alcohol while taking it. It's not worth the risk. Trust me, I found out the hard way.

I developed a rash after taking metronidazole, but it was pretty mild and went away on its own. I figured it was a minor allergic reaction because it did not affect my breathing or anything else. For others, it might be more serious, so keep an eye out for that.

I had a similar prescription for a stomach infection. The worst thing I experienced was an upset stomach and a metallic taste. It wasn't fun, but it was manageable. I found that taking it with food helped a lot. Good luck!

Metronidazole is one of the few drugs that can cause antibiotic-associated colitis. In addition to the nausea and vomiting, I also got mild diarrhea. Thankfully, I did not get the full-blown colitis. I think the secret is to keep hydrated.

I took Metronidazole and all I got was some mild stomach cramps. I was lucky, I guess. Just make sure to finish the full course, even if you feel better. Don't skip doses or stop early.
