I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and my doctor has prescribed me Qtern 10mg/5mg Tablets. The medication contains dapagliflozin and saxagliptin, which help manage blood sugar levels in different ways. Dapagliflozin helps by removing excess sugar through urine, while saxagliptin aids in insulin production and reduces the liver's sugar output. However, the list of potential side effects is quite lengthy, with some being extremely serious. I am concerned about the severity of these side effects. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues? Are they as bad as they sound, or is it just standard procedure to list everything and anything that could possibly happen? I'd love to hear some personal experiences or reassurance from others who have taken this medication.

Is anyone finding that the Qtern makes you tired and that's because the sugar is coming out of your system? I feel like I'm tired and I'm not sure why.

The yeast infection part is kinda funny. But, really, if you get that then that's annoying. But it's not like you are going to die. I guess you can't get rid of all the bad things in life. Just keep going back to the doc and report anything that is getting bad.

I'm so sorry, dude. My doc told me about that scary side effect list and I was freaked. But, I decided to trust my doctor and the science that went into approving this drug and I relaxed a bit.

The side effects list is indeed long, but I think it's better to be aware and prepared. If you'taking Qtern, monitor your urine output, check your weight, and watch your electrolytes. I always felt good about the doc visits to talk about my blood sugar and other things. The side effects are possible, but managing your diabetes well is worth the risk.

I had a friend who took Qtern and ended up with a severe UTI. It was scary, but with prompt medical attention, she recovered. My advice is to be vigilant about any symptoms and don't hesitate to seek help if something doesn't feel right. Stay informed and stay safe.

I had a bad experience with a different medication and this makes me nervous too, but I've taken a lot of things without problems, including Qtern. I think I'm mostly worried because I can't tell how I'll react. But I think I'm going to go to the doc and ask for a good way to watch for problems and what to do if trouble comes up. I know that seems obvious, but I feel worried and it's hard to think straight.
