It's important to apply it to clean, dry skin and let it absorb for a few minutes before getting dressed. And for the love of God, don't forget to wash your hands afterwards.
You were prescribed the gel, but have you considered injections? My doc said they're more effective but whoever heard of the lotion being easier. Also, you could consider getting blood tests regularly to monitor your testosterone levels. That way, you can adjust the dosage as needed.
Seriously, though, if you start feeling depressed or having suicidal thoughts, get to a doctor immediately. That's not something to mess around with.
Definitely watch out for allergic reactions. I had a friend who ended up with hives all over his body.
