However, during the treatment, I experienced some pretty frightening side effects. I had a severe rash that was itchy and burning, and I also had some issues with my skin. I ended up having to go to the emergency room. I am glad that I was able to get the infection treated, but I am also worried about the possible severe side effects. I had a similar reaction with Cefotetan. The side effects really scared. I got a fever and those skin issues. I will be honest, it was pretty nasty. Finally, after the worst of it, the infection was gone, but I am still so glad not to be using it.
I might be in the minority here, but I didn't have any side effects with this medication, and I got to keep using it. It was the worst thing I have ever dealt with, I am so glad I only needed it for a short time.
This medication is crazy. Not everyone will have the side effects, but it is important to remember that if you do have a reaction to it. If you're worried, please, please talk to your doctor. I was hospitalized after getting a bad case of hemolytic anemia.
I've had Cefotetan a few times and never had any issue. I mean, the other side effects were not there. But the diarrhea, that was a trip. I was using it for a long time and it was a pretty rough time for me.
