Has anyone else tried Doxycycline Mono 40mg DR Capsules for rosacea? I've been using it for a few months now, and it's made a significant difference in reducing the redness and bumps on my face. I've been taking it for a month and my skin looks fantastic, but I had a weird reaction thing where I felt like I had the flu for a few days. I’m staying on it though because my face is so much better, and the flu-like symptoms went away.
I had a really bad reaction to this medication. I experienced severe stomach pain and had to stop taking it. My doctor said it's rare but possible. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience anything serious.
I was really hesitant to take antibiotics for rosacea, but this low-dose version has been much gentler than I expected. No major issues so far, just a bit of fatigue sometimes.
This reminds me, I think I read somewhere that Doxycycline can cause increased pressure in the brain. Has anyone else heard about this? It sounds scary.
