I was prescribed Gentamicin Pf Ped 10mg/ml Inj, 2ml for a severe bacterial infection, and I have some questions about the side effects and how to manage them. I've been taking it exactly as prescribed, but I'm worried about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. I've noticed some minor issues like a headache and upset stomach, but nothing too severe. However, I'm curious to know if anyone else has experienced any of the more serious side effects like kidney problems or hearing loss. I've been having regular blood tests, but I want to know if there's anything else I should be doing to ensure my safety. Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I had to stop taking Gentamicin because of hearing loss. It's a rare but serious side effect. If you notice any changes in your hearing, contact your doctor immediately. It's scary, but it's important to be vigilant about these side effects.

Make sure to report any side effects to the FDA. It helps them track the safety of the drug.

Gentamicin is a powerful drug, but it's important to follow the prescription exactly. Don't miss any doses or stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

Be careful with this one. I know someone who had severe kidney issues. Regular blood tests are a must!
