I've been taking Liothyronine 50mcg tablets for about three months now to treat my underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). I've noticed some significant improvements in my energy levels and metabolism, which is great. However, I've also experienced some side effects that I wanted to discuss. I've been dealing with some hair loss, which the pharmacist said is common in the first few months. On the other hand, I've had some periods of feeling shaky and weak, and I'm wondering if this is related to the medication. I have seen some other side effects mentioned online and would love to hear about other people's experiences with this medication. Any advice on managing these side effects would be greatly appreciated too.

I've been on Liothyronine for a while now, and the side effects were bad at first, but they eventually went away. Just give it some time and keep an open dialogue with your doctor. You'll figure out the best dosage and routine for your body.

I had a similar experience with the shakes and weakness. I would suggest keeping notes on your symptoms and discussing them with your doctor. They might adjust your dose or recommend additional supplements to help balance things out. Also, make sure to stay hydrated and get enough sleep—the side effects can sometimes be exacerbated by dehydration and fatigue.

I thought I was having a heart attack when I first started feeling my heart race. Turns out it was just the meds. Still, it was terrifying.

I'm on the lowest dose (25mcg) and still having trouble. I've started an additional diet routine to deal with the side effects and it seems to work well so far. It's been a game-changer!
