I recently started taking Ribavirin 200mg Capsules along with other antiviral drugs to treat my chronic Hepatitis C. I'm really hoping this combination works, but I'm also scared of the side effects, especially anemia and birth defects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm looking for any advice or personal stories to help me through this. I've read about the serious side effects, especially the risk of severe anemia and birth defects. I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with these issues or if there are any tips to mitigate the side effects. I'm really hoping to hear from someone who has successfully completed treatment. The flu-like symptoms are brutal, but I'm trying to stay positive. I'm also monitoring my mood changes closely since I've read about the risk of suicidal thoughts. Fingers crossed for a smooth journey ahead.

Wow, the changes in menstrual period are no joke! I had no idea that could happen. And the hair loss was brutal. I lost so much hair within the first few months. I had to cut it short and embrace the look. Thankfully my hair is growing back, but it was a tough adjustment. The constipation was also a real problem. I had to start taking stool softeners.

I felt it too. It was like every little thing felt like a big problem and I couldn't shake the feeling of sadness. If you feel like you’re drowning, reach out to someone. You need to get through this. This one is serious.

I was on Ribavirin for a while and the flu-like symptoms were the worst. Make sure to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest. It's a tough road, but it's worth it in the end. The anemia was a real struggle for me though, it took a lot of adjustments and regular blood tests. Just make sure you're monitoring it closely and talking to your doctor about it.

I had a severe allergic reaction to Ribavirin. If you start noticing any rash, hives, or breathing difficulties, get to the ER immediately. It was terrifying, but thankfully, I caught it early. Also, the dry mouth was so bad— I was drinking water constantly. Also, watch for the anemia. My doctor had to adjust my dosage because my blood counts were dropping too low. As for the suicidal thoughts, I have a history of depression and it got a bit worse, so be really vigilant.
