I've been taking Zovirax 400mg Tablets for about a month now to manage my genital herpes outbreaks. I've had a few minor episodes of upset stomach and feeling generally tired, but nothing I can't handle. However, I've been seeing some alarming information online about the potential side effects of this medication. Has anyone else experienced any severe symptoms or had any really bad side effects? I know that it's important to stay hydrated and continue exercising, but I'm having conflicting ideas and need some advice. Also, does anyone know if there are any alternative drugs which would be easier to tolerate given these symptoms? What are the trade-offs here? I've been thinking about this a lot enough to make me wonder if it's worth it

I switched from Zovirax to Valacyclovir and it was a game-changer. I barely get any side effects anymore. Talk to your doctor about it. There are definitely other options out there.

I had a friend who had a really bad reaction to Zovirax. She ended up in the hospital with kidney problems. It's rare, but it can happen. Make sure you're monitoring your symptoms closely and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns. But yeah, I think you should talk to a medical professional and see if they have any other options for you. Slice and dice your meds all you want, but your doctor knows best.

It's possible that you're having an allergic reaction. If you're experiencing any of the symptoms like rash, hives, itching, or swelling, you should seek medical attention immediately. Don't mess around with that stuff.

I feel terrible. I couldn't believe how many side effects the Zovirax presented, especially the extreme fatigue. I don't know if I can live with it to be honest. What do you guys think? Am I the only one having this trouble? The list of side effects feels way too long.

Have you tried taking Zovirax with food? It can help with the stomach issues. Also, make sure you're not taking any other medications that might interact with it.

I had a bad reaction to Zovirax too. My doctor told me it was because of a rare genetic mutation. Turns out, I was lacking a protein that metabolizes the drug properly. I wish I would've known that earlier. How long have you been taking it?

Zovirax can be tough on some people, especially if you're not staying hydrated or keeping your immune system strong. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water and eating well. Also, talk to your doctor about adjusting your dosage or switching to a different medication if the side effects are too much to handle. For me, switching to a supplement regimen, including laxatives and other liquids, did the trick.

There's a bunch of natural remedies that can help with herpes outbreaks. I've tried a few and they've worked for me, but I also take Zovirax. You should check it out. They're generally much more mild. I take it when the outbreaks happen and I feel miles better.
