I was recently prescribed Nicardipine 2.5mg/1ml Inj, 10ml for emergency high blood pressure, and I would love to share my experience and hear from others who have used it. I had no idea this medication is given intravenously to quickly lower blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels, making it easier for your heart to pump blood. My doctor explained the possible side effects, mainly the severe ones to watch out for like allergic reactions, severe dizziness, fast heartbeat, and chest pain. I also found that there are more common side effects like dizziness, tiredness, and flushing which are less severe, but still worth mentioning.

So if you or anyone you know has used this drug, I'd love to know what your experience was like? Did you face any complications? How long did you have to use it? I am curious to learn more about this medication and how well it works for others.

Remember the dosage is critical. I have seen someone take on more because they thought it was not working. Worst mistake.

I'm personally a big believer in how well this works and the effect it has on controlling my blood pressure. But if you're looking for long-term use, talk to your doctor. It's good for immediate intervention but not really suitable for long term.

What surprised me was the list of common side effects was so similar to all the usual meds. It's nice for this one to be a bit more specific.

How long can you use this for, before you see symptoms from overuse? One thing I want to know. Anyone know?
