I've been prescribed Nicardipine 30mg Capsules for high blood pressure and I'm a bit nervous about the possible side effects. Has anyone else taken this medication? How did you handle the side effects? I'm especially worried about the more severe ones like severe dizziness or fainting. I've never experienced anything like that before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm hoping to get some reassurance from others who have been in a similar situation. This is not something I can ask my family or friends as they don't have any experience with medications outside of common over-the-counter remedies. I'm trying to be proactive about my health and that's the reason i'm on this forum looking for advice. Please share your experience if you've had any.

My doctor recommended switching to Nicardipine after my previous medication started causing me trouble. It’s been a game-changer, and I’ve had very few side effects. Just a bit of fatigue and headaches but I get those occasionally anyway. I take it with food and drink lots of water to avoid any issues. You should ask your doctor for suggestions on how to manage the side effects if you experience them. They can help you.

I switched to Nicardipine from another blood pressure med because of the side effects of my previous med. The dizziness is a bit annoying, but it's better than the chest pain I was having before. Give it a shot and if you have severe side effects, your doctor can adjust the dosage or switch you to something else. Trust your doctor's advice and always report any side effects, even if they seem minor.

I wish I had found this place before I went on Nicardipine. I had a bad reaction to it - chest pain and shortness of breath. I had to go to the ER right away. Turns out I’m allergic to it.

Always good to stay ahead of the game. Keep a log of your blood pressure readings and any side effects you experience. It will be helpful for your doctor to adjust your dose if necessary. Also, avoid alcohol while on this medication as it can exacerbate the side effects.

I've been on Nicardipine for a while now and it's been great for my blood pressure. I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few weeks.

I'm on week 3 and no side effects so far. I had some mild dizziness the first day but nothing serious. I read the directions carefully and followed them to the letter. I'm also drinking plenty of water throughout the day

I had flushing and headache for the first week. It's uncomfortable, but bearable. It went away after that. Hope this helps!

Make sure to take it as prescribed and monitor your blood pressure regularly. Do not be afraid to ask your doctor questions if you have concerns. They are there to help you. And remember, everyone is different so what might be a severe side effect for one person might not be for another. Don’t let the fear of side effects stop you from getting the help you need.
