I'm looking for some insights and personal experiences with Norepinephrine, specifically the Norepin/d5w 4mg/250ml Inj, 250ml formulation. I've heard it can be a bit of a rollercoaster with its side effects. How has it worked for you or your loved ones in raising blood pressure during severe infections or shock? I'm particularly interested in hearing about how you managed side effects like anxiety, shortness of breath, or even more severe reactions. Did you have to adjust the dosage, or were there any particular interventions that helped mitigate these issues? I'd appreciate any advice or tips on how to navigate this powerful medication effectively.

I had to advocate for my mom to be taken off it. She was experiencing severe anxiety and her blood pressure was unpredictable, what a nightmare. She was very glad to get off that drug.

Does anyone know if there are any long-term effects from using this? I'm curious as I had it for a prolonged period.

I was on it for severe sepsis and the doctors were amazing. They kept a close watch on my blood pressure and heart rate. I did experience some shortness of breath, but it was manageable. The key is constant monitoring and quick adjustments. They were all over it.

For those dealing with swelling in the arms or legs, elevating the affected area and using compression stockings can help manage it. It's not a cure but it can make a difference. Always check with your doctor first.
