Has anyone been prescribed Olmesartan/amlo/hctz 40-10-12.5mg T for high blood pressure? I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the eye problems and the risk of skin cancer. My doctor assured me it's safe, but I'd like to hear from others who have taken this medication. What kind of side effects did you experience? Did you have to stop taking it? How did you manage any side effects?

I experienced a rash which I was worried might be an allergic reaction but it turned out to be from the sun exposure. I didn't know that this drug can increase the risk of skin cancer, so I've been super careful with sunscreen and hats now. Also I've been making sure to drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Just started this combo last month and so far, so good. I had the usual dizziness and a bit of an upset stomach, but nothing major. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be lucky for the long haul.

This thread gave me hope to start the drug again. I got scared and stopped my treatment after experiencing weight gain and swelling. But no one else seems to have similar problems.

This sounds like a scary mix... actually, I'd rather deal with high blood pressure than have a stroke. But I still worry about eye problems. Have any of you had issues there?

I've been on this for about a year, and the only side effect I've had is a bit of dizziness when I stand up too quickly. It's a small price to pay for getting my blood pressure under control. Would go for the same again!

I've been on this combo for about six months now. The first week was rough with some dizziness and upset stomach, but it got better. I've had no issues with my eyes or skin, and my blood pressure is much better!

My mother-in-law is on it and she had a bad itchy rash for the first couple of days. After that it went away, but her doctor said she should keep an eye on her skin.

My doctor gave me a handout on sun protection. I make sure to wear sunscreen and protective clothing when I'm outside. It’s good to know about the eye problems, though. I've never heard of drugs causing such issues before.
