Opvee is a nasal spray used to quickly reverse the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose. It works by blocking the effects of opioids in the body to prevent severe breathing problems or unresponsiveness. However, as with any medication, Opvee comes with side effects ranging from mild to serious. I've heard both positive and concerning accounts about this drug. For those who have used or prescribed Opvee, could you share your experiences? What were the most notable side effects, and how did you or your patients manage them? Let's discuss the benefits and risks of this potentially life-saving medication.

I administered Opvee to a patient during a serious opioid overdose. It really reversed the effects, but in the aftermath, the patient felt dizzy and complained of a severe headache. After the fact, they recovered well but it was unnerving.

I'll never forget the first time I used Opvee. The patient was unresponsive and barely breathing. After administering the spray, it took about 2-3 minutes to see a noticeable improvement. It was intense, but absolutely worth it.

I saw a patient get anxiety and sweating after using. They were okay after a while but it was scary. It could be because of the adrenaline rush from the whole situation but it's worth mentioning.

Opvee has been a game-changer in my line of work, and the side effects, while sometimes bothersome, are always better than the alternative. Make sure to give clear instructions to the patient afterward -- if they start to feel like they are losing their taste or feel some anxiety, it will pass.

I've heard of Opvee, but never used it. Does anyone know if it can be covered by insurance? Real curious because it could be a lifesaver!

I had to use Opvee on a friend a few months back. It was terrifying, but it worked. He had a really bad reaction to the medicine: shortness of breath, and a super fast heartbeat. He was in the hospital for a day but made a full recovery. Since then, we've been more cautious about who we hang out with and where we go.

Why aren't these sprays more readily available in public places? Like schools, libraries, or even drug stores? Sealing the deal on opioid overdose prevention feels like the next step.

What are the signs it's working? Like how long does it take to see if it's reversing the overdose effectively? I'm a first responder and want to make sure I'm doing everything I can if I ever need to use this.

Opvee saved my brother's life. He overdosed and wasn't responsive, but after using Opvee, he came to within minutes. The only side effect he had was some mild vomiting, but it was so worth it. Always have one on hand if you're around someone at risk.
