I was recently prescribed Orapred ODT 15mg Tablets for an allergic reaction, and while they've been effective, I'm a bit worried about the side effects. The list is extensive, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar concerns or experiences. How did you manage the side effects, and what tips do you have for someone new to this medication? I've heard it's important to monitor your blood sugar and blood pressure while on this drug, but I'm not sure how to go about it effectively. Also, does anyone know if there are any long-term effects to be aware of? I'd appreciate any insights or advice!

Stick with it. I was miserable for the first week. But after that, it was smooth sailing. Plus, my doctor told me to supplement with calcium and vitamin D to help with bone health.

My doc told me that if I experience any severe side effects, to come in immediately. I was really worried , but I'm glad I know I can get help quickly. I've had a few mild issues, but nothing I can't handle.

It's interesting how differently this drug affects everyone. I was on it for a sinus infection and had zero side effects, while my friend had the works. Just goes to show you can't predict these things.

I've been on Orapred for a few months now and I've had some really bad skin changes. They told me this might happen. I had no idea it would be this severe. My doctor gave me some topical creams to help, but it's been a long road.

I had terrible night sweats and insomnia on this stuff. I'm not sure if it's worth it for me. How long did it take for your symptoms to improve?

I've been on Orapred for a while now and have had some ups and downs. The first few weeks were tough with mood swings and sleep issues, but it got better as my body adjusted. I've noticed weight gain, but honestly, it's a small price to pay for how much better I feel. Monitor your blood sugar and blood pressure at home if you can, it's a lifesaver.

I was so scared when I first started this med. But honestly, the side effects were mild for me. I gained a bit of weight but nothing crazy. I was more cautious with what I ate, and all was fine. Just don't forget to watch out for infections
