Oxcarbazepine 300mg/5ml Oral Susp is a medication used to treat seizures (epilepsy). It works by calming overactive nerve signals in the brain and comes in a liquid form that you can swallow. I was prescribed this medication and I have been having some side effects. I have been experiencing trouble focusing and memory problems — I've heard these can be symptoms of low sodium levels. Has anyone else experienced this? What are the best ways to manage these side effects?

Keep an eye on any changes in mood or behavior too. It’s not worth risking it.

If you’re experiencing low sodium levels you should definitely monitor your water intake carefully and talk to your doctor about how to safely manage it, and make sure your doctor is aware.

I had a bit of trouble with shortness of breath initially, but after talking to my doctor, we adjusted the dosage, and it got better. Hang in there!

I’ve seen some reports of people experiencing severe skin reactions. If you notice anything like that, get to a doctor ASAP.
